Rose
cottage is managed by Miss Claire Williams, who has run the home for seven
years. She has many years experience working with the elderly and has
training in manual handling, food hygiene, first aid and has completed
the owners & managers course. In 2005, Claire completed her NVQ level
four and the registered managers award.
We have three other members of staff who have also completed courses in
first aid, food hygiene and manual handling. Most staff have now completed
their NVQ level two in caring.
The owner, Mr Richard McLoughlin has owned residential care homes for
twenty-one years now and has vast experience in managing the business
and financial side of our home.
All service users' privacy and dignity is respected at all times and is enforced in their care plans.
Rose Cottage is registered with the commission social care and inspection. We are registered under category 1 for the elderly.
Our rooms are all above the commission social care and inspections requirements plus the extra meters of the en-suite.
We have a bath with a special seat on it, so service users can access the bath easily.
All hobbies, activities and leisure interests are to be continued where possible.
Rose cottage
is a non-smoking care home.
Service users are welcome to have visitors at most times of the day but
we would ask you not to call at meals times, which are 12.00 – 1.00
pm and 5.00 – 5.30 pm.
Visitors can see their family members in their own private rooms.
Residents can also refuse to see any visitors that they wish not to see.
